An Age Old Tradition J.J. Phair's grandfather, E.J., was an amateur wine maker and beer enthusiast. J.J., who has been an avid homebrewer since 1990 decided to keep that tradition alive by opening the E.J. Phair microbrewery in 2000. Today, our brewery has become a staple in the East Bay Area, providing craft ales and lagers alongside delicious food pairings at our restaurant in downtown Concord.
